Anyway, this is a set of Adobe icon pillows, featuring all your favorite design programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and that handsome devil Dreamweaver. Prices are as Illustratored(!). Buy the whole set and save $10. Buy sweatshop free and save some third-world youth’s fingers. Buy me a drink and then take me home and do me. RAWR!

Protect Yourself Against the Swine Flu, With Style

1 05 2009

masks

The WHO has raised the Swine Flu—which you can follow in this map or through Twitter—to alert level 5, which means a pandemic is imminent. Not funny. Some people, however, are having fun.

In Mexico everyone is wearing masks. People are getting bored of wearing the same thing, so they have started to decorate them in all kinds of styles. As you can see, many of them show their always ironic look at death and fascination with los muertos.

Perfect Cocaine Simulator Will Never Make It to the iPhone App Store

1 05 2009

This is funny because a) it’s ultra-realistic and b) it is precisely one of the main uses of the iPhone in many clubs all around the world. And you gotta love their on-your-face sales pitch:

Be the envy of in-crowd. Get ejected from nightclubs. Shock and amaze your so-called friends. Get oral sex from Z-list celebrities.

Cocaine in a paragraph, boys and girls. Yours for five British pounds ($7.40) and a jailbreak. [iSnort]

Nike Auto Flight

29 04 2009

nike-auto-flight-1It looks like Nike has their eyes set on converting basketball classics into more casual attire favorites. Much like the previously seen RT1, these new Auto Flights take on a fashionista-friendly look, trading in the old school basketball midsoles for a vulcanized offering, similar to that of the Blazer model, and transplanting the old Flight Lite uppers onto a new platform. Seen in this timeless black/white/red color scheme, the Auto Flight is slated for a release during the 2009 Holiday season with other colorways sure to follow.

Continuing a successful, ongoing partnership with Barneys New York, Joya is unveiling a unique collection of fragrance diffusers beginning today in the Chelsea Passage department of the 660 Madison Avenue flagship. The newest collection is an unusual take on the diffuser concept. Joya founder Frederick Bouchardy selects vintage vessels, ranging from late 1800’s English ink pots to early 1900’s medical and amber boudoir bottles, and packages them with classic French apothecary-inspired perfume oils for a one-of-a-kind home fragrance experience. Each set includes ten natural reed sticks, funnel, card with a description of the specific item, and housed in a wooden shadowbox with gold hardware and sliding plexiglass lid. Joya’s Perfume in Porcelain range of scented candles and diffusers is currently available in select Barneys apothecary and Co-Op locations.

Fair Trial Fail: Judge In Pirate Bay Case A Member Of Swedish Copyright Association

25 04 2009

pirate-bay-judgejpg

So yeah, it turns out the questionably honorable judge (Tomas Norstrom) in the recent Pirate Bay trial is “a member of the Swedish Copyright Association and sits on the board of Swedish Association for the Protection of Industrial Property”. How did this even happen? Hint: Swedish Fish. Love those things.

Peter Althin, the lawyer for TPB cofounder Peter Sunde, said he’s asking the Swedish appeals court to consider ordering a retrial based on the judge’s possible bias, the BBC reports.

“The judge in one of Sweden’s most high profile case ever is also a member of an interest organisation for one side and associates with the prosecution trial lawyers in his free time? That is inexcusable corruption.

Wow, I don’t even know where to being with — ORDER IN THE BLOG! ORDER IN THE BLOG! Bailiff, remove this unruly commenter from my blogroom. Then come back and let me touch your gun. Now, where were we? Oh right — recess. Who’s down for hopscotch?!

Thanks to Matty, who is now welcome to join my pirate crew — provided he pass the three trials first.
